Elizabeth has a long and distinguished business and research career. Having studied economics and with a degree in Visual Optics, she continued working within the University of Cambridge, firstly in Radio Astronomy, then within the Vision Research Department, co-author of several papers on the development of babies' eyes.

She then moved into industry with her own Opticians business which she successfully ran for 14 years before dedicating her time to the development of Granny Products Ltd.
